My work is about the human condition and stories that have layers of meaning. I am interested in traditions in sculpture and painting and utilizing processes in studio glass to realize my work. I am interested in exploring emotions, human terrors of mortality and time, ideas of hope and strength, and a relationship to self through a depiction of fleeting memories, states of serenity and reflection and a reference to symbolisms in painting. Glass is a unique material that has the inherent quality to represent the characteristics of humanity and a potential to capture the finest details that give insight to our being.
